Cry of Fear is a psychological single-player and co-op horror game set in a deserted town filled with horrific creatures and nightmarish delusions. You play as a young man desperately searching for answers in the cold Scandinavian night, finding his way through the city as he slowly descends into madness. Not everything is as it seems Cry of Fear is made by the same team that gave you Afraid of Monsters and the two should be considered companion pieces.

This is a quality horror experience and any fan of classic Resident Evil style gameplay should start playing this immediately.

The story takes place in Russia at the secret plant called "Object E7" or "Black Star" at the same time as the unexpected consequences at Black Mesa. G-Man was planning to organize three incidents of portal opening originally.

First one - at Black Mesa Complex. Second one - at Black Star plant. The third place is unfortunately unknown. But thanks to the fact that the cascade resonator at Black Star was out of order, the planned incident didn't take place there. Object E7 is a laboratory complex researching anomalous materials and organisms.

Its academic adviser is Dr. Victor Shmurghe. He has connected directly with G-Man. The protagonist is a political prisoner who was moved from a jail to Object E7. His main purpose was to test a prototype of the new protection suit H. But he could escape during usual testing by chance. This mod is very explosive and full of combat. It feels like you are playing Rambo crossed with James Bond. There are some alien enemies, but be prepared to fight a whole lotta army grunts.

Its short, but still not a mini-mod. I beat it in 2 hours. There's a lot of action with less puzzles than your typical HL mod. Its pretty good. Gunman Chronicles was initally a commerical game, however Rewolf is defunct, Valve doesn't care, and the petition to get it on Steam has failed.

Gunman Chronicles is clearly abandonware. In contrary to this, the Hazardous-Course, as it's name let's suggest, is much more dangerous. Although it's a mod for a first person shooter, the player can only wield a weapon at the designated target range.

So it plays more like an adventure. The difficulty is quite challenging, but the rewards are accordingly. The Basic Training is peppered with hidden Secrets, which reveal tools, shortcuts, control rooms, and other features, to ease almost all challenges. There are two Secret Levels and one Bonus Level to discover, and to complete to access the final part of the Hazardous-Course.

With that said, Half-Life gameplay fits that style pretty well. Quickloads are fast, player movement is tight and predictable, and puzzles are nothing new in HL. I just have to warn you that this will require a lot of skill and patience from you. This may not be for everyone.

From this moment, you'll never be alone. This new trip will lead you into subsidiary areas with Black Mesa where you'll get more revelations about the government objectives and the world of Xen. You get to run into G-Man and Gordon from time to time. Life's End prides itself on being a very surreal mod. The mod is not afraid to be funny and spoofy. Playing this mod is like experiencing a hallucination. It has some excellent map design without straying too far from classic Hal-Life gameplay.

Must-Play if you want a laugh. English speakers must install the English translation which will give you English subtitles. There is no English dub. Your first impressions are that this mission will be just like any other, but you really have no idea what nightmares future events have in store for you Another short, but sweet mod. Its a mix between horror and high octane action with some beautiful mapping.
